For High School Seniors In

Kennebec and Somerset Counties.

Apply to be part of the 2012 Trek Team and you could take

home $5,000, $2,500, $1,000 or $500 to help with

educational costs at a college

or secondary school.

A Mini "Amazing Race" scholarship competition held three

consecutive weekends in the spring. Senior High School

students apply from Kennebec and Somerset County High

Schools, and are selected through an essay writing process.

From all of the applicants only 16 are selected and are

broken up into four teams of four. Through the process

of elimination, over the three weeks, only the final four

remain for week three and are competing individually

at that point. Below are the hard earned final prizes

that help these students with their continuing education.

It's exciting and has become a tradition at Taconnet.
